Wow, so much waste going on in this office move/clean out. People are throwing out office supplies like used tissues. Those big 3-ring binders are not cheap and I just saw a trash bin with well over 10 in it.
When I worked in a department, when we were processing records for destruction, we had to remove hanging file folders, paper clips, buffalo clips, binders...anything that couldn't go through the shredder. We would end up with tons of these things and were always trying to get people to reuse them. Some consultants would take things and bring them to some of the schools they visited who didn't have a lot of money for supplies, but there was a lot of waste.
Our office is having an office supply exchange event on Friday, with departments bringing in their leftovers and everyone getting to pick over them to see what they can use in their groups.

I need to see if my old stash of comic books is still in my parent's basement someplace. I think I bought the first issue of Dazzler thinking it might be collectible someday.
