I know! I mean, I've found my own replacement for jobs before. But not that job.

When I was 20 and working as a lifeguard in some pretty posh buildings this Patrick Stewartesque nurosurgeon made a play for me. This was the day after my manager had oh-so-casually brought up that the Dr. had a wife, but she was always at their place "in the country".
Occasionally when I write my student loan check I wonder.
And apparently now George Lucas is going to let him do a Star Wars sitcom. Oz? Wee Oz?
Well...
I mean, I've found my own replacement for jobs before. But not that job.
Seriously.
I know! I mean, I've found my own replacement for jobs before. But not that job.
Ha! I'd COMM this if the context weren't so creepy.
I mean, you couldn't just swap in another woman at random??
I just imagine the guy saying, "Something seems different about you, did you do something with your hair?"
I've turned down a couple trips from guys trying to impress me. I'm not entirely sure why I turned them down, since I was enjoying spending time with both of them. I guess I didn't want to be "that girl." In hindsight, I'd have been even more "that girl" than I would have thought, so it turned out okay.
But no one has offered me money or anything substantial. I managed a free meal and a t-shirt out of hanging with one of them, but that wasn't from him--he was given free food and a shirt too.
I think, creep notwithstanding, that deserves a COMM, when you put Gud's comment on the end.
"Something seems different about you, did you do something with your hair?"
Why yes. I put a new person under it.
Buffistas, I am de-lurking here with an important grammar question I hope someone can elucidate for me.
Shouldn't Cook's Illustrated be Cooks' Illustrated?
This was asked by a friend and I was left vaguely disturbed by it.
I just imagine the guy saying, "Something seems different about you, did you do something with your hair?"
Heh.
