If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I used to get those packets of mixed nuts and dried fruit and add that to oatmeal. Or a handful of Fiber One cereal for crunch.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

HA. Someone made a three-course meal, including cocktails, from Sandra Lee's recipes.

And then, as I poured apple pie filling from a can into the center of the dish (really), the can actually attacked me, slicing open my middle finger, presumably enraged by its forced participation in a crime against contemporary African-American culture, good taste, and nature. Sandra Lee suggested I garnish with acorns. My mother suggested that acorns are not edible.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

aurelia, her work looks gorgeous!

I thought you might like her stuff. She always has some project in the green room or backstage.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

OK, how sad is it that, of all the movies I've been watching this weekend, the one that made me think, "I really should get back into being involved in theatre stuff" was High School Musical?

I can't get rid of these cookies! We were supposed to get together after the farmers' market, but we dawdled and everyone had to rush off to various other things. Then, after I got back from the pool, I sent an email out, but everyone replied they were out for the evening. At least Ben next door took some for him & his daughter. I swear, I am going door to door tomorrow night. Of course, at that point, everyone will be post-Easter sugared up....

TJs in the morning, long walk and maybe IKEA or the huge nursery I heard about. And nails.

“Not dead yet!”

Well, we survived. Of course, it took so freakin' long in the registration line that we missed the panels we wanted to see, but we knew that was a risk going in. Next year, we'll definitely pre-register.

However, we did manage a nice, lengthy stroll around the exhibitor's hall and Abby found ears that make her happy, the rest of us found t-shirts, and I scored a Nicholas Wolfwood action figure which made me go meep!

As promised, Abby pics:

Barb, coming up private. I'm sarameg there too.

So I just discovered what the clicking from my kitchen was: autoshutoff teakettle was ON, out of water and turning itself on and off. I shudder to think how long it'd be left on. I last used it Friday morning. Good news is it was turning off? I hope I only knocked it on sometime today.
