I am thankful to y'all for keeping me up to date on religious holidays. I just wrote to R (who is Catholic) and told him to take Friday off, no PTO needed. His family is here from the Philippines this month and he's been holding down the fort for me while I try and recover from this infection. I love that my own boss never questions these "policies" of mine.

I am still giggling over the fact that I used to work with P-C's boss, and she was one of my favorite colleagues. She is from Wisconsin and had lots of funny farm stories. She is a good boss, too. There are dozens of us! Dozens!

I can't believe I was a boss, ten years ago. I wonder if I ever will be again. It was very stressful. But then again, that company was stressful, period. I like to think I was a good boss--my employees seemed genuinely sad and worried to see me go. Well, I do know I was better than the alternative.
