Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Love reading about the SF Buffista love-in.

Aww, yay Buffistas love! I had a lovely dinner with Suela, which was lots of fun, even if java got sick and couldn't join us (sad!). And then I drove Suela home and got to meet her doggie, and borrow books from her. And now I am back in my hotel room, contemplating being all louche and watching TV from the jacuzzi. (I'm uncertain if that is an appropriate use of the word louche, but it feels right in my head. But I'm going to go look it up now, because i suspect the way my head defines it may not be right)

Hah! Louche is like shady or sketchy, something maybe not quite right, like the guy I met at the bar tonight.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

In less yay news, the Obama administration just managed to disgust me for the first time [link]

You know, I'm not sorry I voted for him, but the fact that his detractors call him "liberal" just beggars belief some times.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Now I'm craving cheese.

I'm ignoring politics for once.

We're packed and ready to leave for Florida in the AM. Kids are flying for the first time and I won the battle to check as many bags as we need to.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm glad to see the day end well for the ZMayhems. And happy to hear that Chicago Bob is home and doing well.

The intern got out of the hospital this afternoon and came to visit (in her back brace and wheelchair) at the theatre during our dinner break. She'll have to go back for surgery on her feet after the swelling goes down but she's in excellent spirits and is being well cared for by several of her fellow interns. Some of her compatriots were all atwitter when Billy Peterson gave her a kiss on the forehead.

Several of us are offering up books/DVDs to help keep her occupied while she's out of commission. I may try to find some kind of build-a-robot/electronics kit because it would be funny (and she might actually like it).

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Now I'm craving cheese.

Clearly, you need to come hang out with us at Starbelly. Maybe on the way back from Vegas?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Perkins is a tempting tempter.

Well, yeah.

Did it work?

This is true of so many. So many.
