There's fic out there about everything.

Or on the librarian, the definition was expanded during the Kennedy administration.
Hee. I was trying not to go there.
I really hate Facebook, but I may have to suck it up and make a fan page.
It's a great way to easily reach a ton of people!
Personally I LOVE Facebook, despite the ways it has to annoy, it's made my fundraising for my big ride super easy and it was a total sanity saver during and after Bob's surgery--for me and for his loved ones out there in the world. I could update people as to his status and receive messages of love and support throughout the process.
Happy Passover, Nilly!!
Good luck with baby having, Callaluna!!
Oh, and, YAY on house closing, msbelle!!!
Hey, tommy! Hey, Sparky! Hey, Jesse! [Edit: Hey, lisa! I hope you and the bf are doing as well as possible, and thinking about you a lot.]
Goodness, I miss posting with you guys. I'm becoming like this distant cousin who calls on holidays, aren't I? Sigh.
How is it celebrating as a married lady???
The point is not just being married, but married to this Ashkenazi guy who eats next to nothing during the whole week of the holiday (as opposed to my Sepharadi family, who simply doesn't eat Hametz). He likes eating matzot (which I don't, the tasteless textureless things), so thre's always stuff for him to become not-hungry by. I'll see how the coming week will be for me, I guess, before I can have a solid opinion.
Everybody wonders what I've put myself into, and I keep answering that it's possible to endure anything for a week. There's just one week of that, and 51 of the rest of the year, so it's worth it.

thank you! He got home from the hospital yesterday and is doing really well! I'm about to take his mom and sister to the airport to go back to Michigan. I've gotten some good nights of sleep lately but, DAG, this whole thing has been exhausting. I feel like I could sleep for a week no problem.

Heh. You have to follow his tradition now, right? Oy. My coworker has the reverse situation, so she was thrilled!
Oh, lisa, it's always difficult for the people who are in the taking-care role, both technically and emotionally - I hope you have a chance for taking care of yourself, as well.
He got home from the hospital yesterday and is doing really well!
That's really good to read.

You've summed it up perfectly in one word. He's lucky that he's so nice, or it would have been a real burden.
He's lucky that he's so nice, or it would have been a real burden.
Aw. I'm sure it's still a burden, though!
I'm sure it's still a burden, though!
It really is only a week. And he's nice all year round, so I still think it's a good deal.
(Orthodox Jews always joke regarding this sort of marriages, between people from different traditions - it's really worthy to marry a Dutch guy, for example, because they're waiting only for 1 single hour between eating meat and dairy, as opposed to the 3 or even 6 that other traditions are waiting. And, of course, for an Ashkenazi girl to marry a Sepharady, like your co-worker, for Pessakh.)
