Maybe start a fan page on Facebook, Twitter, etc.?
I really hate Facebook, but I may have to suck it up and make a fan page. I'm already on Twitter and will just have to publicize that as I get closer to the release date. I'm going to redo my webpage, so there's that.
I suppose now that I'm in a town where I'm actually lucky to have people I know, I'll have to plan a book release party, maybe at my local indie, which would be nice support for both of us. Ultimately, the thing that's probably going to help the most will be word of mouth chatter and build up. I'm only going to have a limited number of physical arcs, though, so I may be hitting folks up and asking if they'd be willing to read an electronic version of it, then going into their local bookstores and pestering their booksellers as to when it's going to come out, are they going to be ordering it, etc., etc.
Go baby Callaluna!
The hell? I've been dialed into this meeting for fifteen minutes and no one else is on it. Way to go to keep me up to date on what's going on. Grr. Not sure how I fell off the update list but am still on the invite list.
CV, happy babyday to you! May everything go smoothly.
I need to get dressed and ready for yoga. Haven't gone since january and am a little fearful, but still... gotta go.

I expect you can find some takers on that around here.
Barb, LibraryThing also has a giveaway program where they give physical and/or electronic copies of books to readers on the condition that they review it. I don't know what's involved in getting on board, but it might work for you.
(Apologies if you already know all this.)
Yay, msbelle!
Yay, Callaluna! (Meanwhile, my friend who had her baby over the weekend had a 9-pounder, at home, a week+ past her due date....)
No, Dana, thanks! I no next to nothing about Library Thing. I (perhaps mistakenly) assumed it was similar to Good Reads, which I keep light tabs on and which I find frustrating, since it seems to operate on the same half-witted rating system as Amazon, where people often don't even read the book and give it a poor rating based on something other than the actual text.
I expect you can find some takers on that around here.
Heh. Thanks, brenda!
Cigarettes may contain pigs blood
CIGARETTES may contain traces of pig's blood, an Australian academic says with a warning that religious groups could find its undisclosed presence "very offensive".
University of Sydney Professor Simon Chapman points to recent Dutch research which identified 185 different industrial uses of a pig - including the use of its haemoglobin in cigarette filters.
Prof Chapman said the research offered an insight into the otherwise secretive world of cigarette manufacture, and it was likely to raise concerns for devout Muslims and Jews.
