So I wasn't really a brazen hussy back then, either!
Sounds like the fun outweighed the awkward. And come on now, tell us you were at least a bit of a brazen hussy.
Have an awesome trip, msbelle.
Twin pictures this weekend were a joy to see.

Kat, those pictures were wonderful! A very happy belated twin birthday for the whole family!
Safe travels, msbelle!
Professors should not call me at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning to ask if I have an answer to the question they sent at 4:30 p.m on Friday (when she knows I leave work at 4 p.m.).
Holy crap, aurelia. I hope she's OK.
I am totally with Grace on the joy of swinging. I STILL love it.
Man, me too. And 7 weeks til Grace is home? Amazing!
You know what's good? Fried egg in bread-with-a-hole.
How so? I love tiled counters!
Well, the problem I have with our tiled counters is the fact that the grout gets grimy very easily, and is hard (read: impossible) to clean. it looks nasty when wet, too. And the tile grout around the sink, due to it often being wet, is cracked (creating more exciting places for grime and mold to set up shop in) and starting to break off at the edge.
So, I am not a fan of the tile counters.
After years of resting our weary blogger heads on keyboards and netbooks, with visions of icons dancing through our heads, now we rejoice to see that finally a pillow suitable for the workspace has been created. Also, we can finally take out our frustration at Facebook with a few square punches without actually striking a monitor; we can also literally fling Gmail at someone who needs to get smacked upside the head with our unread thoughts — and no one actually gets hurt. Thank goodness for the Social Networking Pillows by Craftsquatch on Etsy. Now our cats can do what comes naturally and simultaneously act out our private impulses against MySpace all in one smooth movement.
I can't wait until our home is her permanent home. 7 weeks or so until then.
"Grace at home" is a lovely phrase.
I think I broke more dishes during the year I had a tile counter top than in the all the other years combined.

This is my argument against tile floors.
I walked over to the mall to buy milk and a coffee wearing my inside pants. It felt so wrong.

When I had tile counter tops they were very pretty, but kind of a pain otherwise. They were very uneven and the ridges were not fun to clean. The tile counters in the bathroom were easier to deal with, and also pretty.
So many great birthday pictures, Kat! And I can't believe Grace's coming-home date is zooming up so fast.

Barney Google Eyes!
My mom used to (and Hec still does) fry up the little hole, a perfect little burst of crispy buttery yum.
Safe travels and a good trip to msbelle and mac.
Child picspam, dated yesterday: Matilda and Papou's cat. She's wearing her A's shirt ("What does the shirt mean, honey?" "It means BASEBALL YAY."), but started off the day wearing all three of her baseball shirts (A's, Portland Pilots, Durham Bulls) layered on top of each other. Not a traditional Palm Sunday dress-up outfit, but at this point if she opts not to fight but expresses actual enthusiasm for any outfit at all I'll just roll with it.
