Jeebus, Scola, that's just wrongity wrong with a side of wrong sauce.
My dinner turned out fab, if my husband's reaction was any indication. Grilled lamb chops that had been marinated in Greek olive oil, a splash of balsamic vinegar and fresh orange juice served with onions, portabella mushrooms, apples, ginger, and garlic, cooked down into a confit, and oven roasted potatoes.
NOM.
I still, however, have no pie. This is probably for the best.
Barb, that sounds delish!
Sounds yum, Barb! Nothing near that tasty but I'm trying out a new beef stew recipe in the slow cooker and hoping it turns out good since it'll be my lunch all week.
I found some pill-form probiotic stuff at Costco today that I'll also be trying. My tummy hasn't been too pleased with anything that I eat for about a month now. Fingers crossed that this'll help.
Beef stew. Basic meat+potatoes and appropriate veggies and spices. (yes veggies included celery all you celery haters)Nothing special but good.
I had pierogis with sauteed cabbage and kielbasa. Nom.

Evil, but at least it wasn't labeled DINAO.
I had no interesting dinner. Was grazing all day and didn't have a real dinner. I did have a bit of asparagus with gorgonzola. The boys just nibbled on various varieties of junk food.
I want chocolate.
Maybe even enough to put on outside pants.
I had some excellent salmon with bourbon-ginger glaze, mashed potatoes, and summer squash, courtesy of my mother.
We tried to grill pizza and set the crust on fire before we got all the toppings on. It's under the broiler now. Notes taken for next time.
I have had an iffy tum for several days. My DH just made me chicken and rice in the rice cooker with sea salt and fresh ground pepper, lemon pepper, rosemary, thyme and savory. It smells like heaven. Waiting for the timer to clunk.
With my tummy-soothing ginger ale, I just had a square of Green&Black's Aztec Gold. Nom. If the tummy ick hasn't yielded to babying thus far, I figure throwing a little chocolate at it won't hurt.
