All right, yes, date and shop and hang out and go to school and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girlie stuff!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Thank you for the kind words and letting me vent. I know it's stupid to even think about. Before any important event, and the body image demons come after me about clothes and weight and all lame, shallow stuff. Once the event begins, however, I tend to just forget about them and have a good time.

Tater tots rule!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, guys.

Unfortunately I did not get useful treatment, but hopefully I can get my migraine specialist to make some noise so next time I go in won't be so bad. Although, if it's dick nurse again, I'm pretty much SOL.

Are tater tots like croquettes? We used to have those a fair amount in England, and they were delicious. I don't know that I've ever had tater tots.

They pay me in WOIMS

Tiny croquettes, maybe an inch long.

“Not dead yet!”

Another concert reminiscence: Seeing Chris Botti at the Blue Note in NYC in December, where he plays for about three weeks every year. The night we went, it was just prior to his recording one of his concert specials, so they were essentially rehearsing. Including special guests Paula Cole and Sting, who both showed up unannounced. I was at a table about ten feet away from the stage.

Absolute magic.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Tiny croquettes, maybe an inch long.

Except aren't the potatoes larger shreds in tater tots? And nothing inside.

Unless I'm thinking of the wrong kind of croquette.

“Not dead yet!”

Tater tots and croquettes are completely different to me. This is what I think of as croquettes:

And OMG, are they of the NOM and YUM. With perfectly fried eggs and a big slab of Cuban bread, it is my OTB.

Yeah, me too.

ita, have you had fast-food style hashbrown patties? Tots are like that.

Ugh. Don't like those. At least the times I've had them, the texture of the shreds of potato were too preserved. Whereas the croquettes were like mashed potatoes.

I should eat. I haven't done that yet today.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tots are basically shreds compressed into a small nugget. I can see where it would be a weird texture thing.

And now I want tater tots. Preferably as nachotots.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

my house is hot like a sauna. you know what is not helping? running around like a crazy woman getting thing ready fir vacation. I think I have done all I can do for the moment. Am packed aside from essentials we also need in the morning, have arranged pet care (still need to write out instructions), have straightened up all the bins I brought in yesterday (not easy to "hide" 10, 21 gal bins), and have laundry drying so it will be done when we return.

Still need to:

print boarding passes
call car service
put a new movie on mac's ipod
last minute little box clean
instructions to pet sitters
fold up the aerobed in the morning
