Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Crap, I was just thinking, "Well, I'll give those a-holes until 3 to get back to me..." when I looked at the clock. Oops.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Now all I want to do for the rest of the day is watch Simpsons on YouTube!

Me, too! But I have to go to the gym. (I watched the "What's a 'gym'?" clip, too.) And the grocery store. Foo.

“Not dead yet!”

Happy Birthday, Allyson!

I pierced my own second holes when I was twelve and then the third hole in my left ear when I was sixteen.

It's amazing my ears haven't fallen off.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Nora, I said that just that way for the Simpson call back. Tep, no, although I guess the donuts are shaped the same...in Navajo culture, bears and badgers are big bringers of good fortune(nsm glazed goodness) We aren't Navajo, but we don't know any Muskogee totem animals...Grandpa was sort of embarrassed about his heritage, although by the time I knew him, he looked like an an Indian on a coin...it would be unmistakable...Mom says when she was a kid he looked like Coffey from Hill Street, though.

Because books.

All I know is, I love my cartilage piercing, but it still hurts like hell. I've been babying it with antibiotic ointment, but it's swollen and painful again. I don't want to let it close up, though, because after this I know I would never do it again.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I was the first one of my friends to get my ears pierced (at the nurse's office at my school), it was third grade. I remember very distinctly, because I never got to be first at anything again.

I have one set of holes, my mother actually is double pierced.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My second cartilage piercing hurt for a long time, Amy. Did you get yours done with a gun or a needle? That's why I'm delaying so long on the third--want to get it done with a needle, so the cartilage doesn't get smashed.

Also, it was a true pain finding the right comfortable earring for them. The silver's looking a little tarnished, but I really don't want to have to wrestle the damned sleepers back in again. Getting the holes accustomed to the slight curve was a bitch. But posts had backs, and the backs drove into my skull.

Because books.

It was a gun. And I'm wearing white gold in it now, and keeping it scrupulously clean, and using the antibiotic ointment, but I still have to take it out at night to sleep on that side of my head.

And after three months of not, my neck was completely jacked, so.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

After years of not wearing any, I can still put earrings in all of my ear piercings! But now they're mostly a little irritated. Ah well. Science!
