I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Happy birthday, Allyson!

Oh, I knew I forgot something! What she said!

information libertarian

One thing I've noticed happening since I was a kid was having moments in dreams where I stumble or otherwise mistep in the dream and jar myself awake. I'm pretty sure it's because my body is acutally doing something jarring and my dream tries to account for it.

This is extremely common, and is called a myoclonic or hypnic jerk: [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, since it works in the water...

When I inhale underwater I almost always drown.

Oh! You mean when my head is above water. Got it.

I've definitely flown in dreams--it's generally where magically the air becomes like water, and I can just kind of swim through it!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've definitely flown in dreams--it's generally where magically the air becomes like water, and I can just kind of swim through it!

Yeah, that definitely. But sometimes it's really hard! And not all relaxing like you would think.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I let my piercings close up years ago - my nickel allergy makes it almost impossible to wear jewelry so I never got into the habit. (No matter how careful I was to only buy earrings labeled 14k-everything, I never met a pair that didn't trigger horrible eczema. Ick.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

All my flying dreams have been a tremendous effort of concentration in the dream in order to acheive flight.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

My flight dreams almost inevitably turn into nightmares about not being able to get back down. Like I've mastered the mechanics of floating higher, but not the ones to float down.
