yeah I got close to 5 hours of sleep, I'll sleep in on Sunday and probably go to bed early Saturday.

My dad just called. CJ is in the security line in SFO. By himself. And they got to the airport late enough that his luggage may or may not make the flight.
Yes, CJ is 13 and this is not his first time flying alone. But still...take him to the gate, Dad. I can't do anything from here, but I'm peeved.

Today is a Friday. I'm vegan on Fridays until Easter. And today Matilda's preschool and my work are closed for Cesar Chavez Day. She wanted an egg for breakfast, an egg like the play eggs she and her friends use in their play kitchen at school, "a big white circle with a yellow bumpy head, and no legs." A fried egg. Which I made for her, and it was perfect, and crispy and yummy and, and, and double-yolked. And she tried one taste of the yolk and pronounced it yucky and it is breaking my heart.
