Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

My Nubar order should arrive tomorrow, too. I like to think that they experienced a spike in traffic thanks to Buffistas around the country overcome with nail polish frenzy.

Much -ma to Bob (and by extension, lisah!)

msbelle, I think I only announced it in Bitches--I got the house this morning! We agreed on a price (-$5K from what they were asking), and now...I panic! :) Closing is currently set for April 19th.

The nail board I lurk at probably went nuts, too.

Predictably.

Should I alert you guys next time Zoya tweets one of their killer deals?

Also, my glitter drawer is full. Crap. Have to reorganize my Helmer. Boo!

Damn, girl. I ought to do a 1 year housewarming (I still haven't done one) and a celebration for you too. My closing was April 17.

...I really ought to do a housewarming. Especially since I have all these new friends. But I've never thrown a party, so...

Bedtime now.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Lots of ma to Bob and lisah!

I drank too much coffee during class and now cannot sleep. Oh, well, at least I'm getting caught up on my MSNBC news block.

Thanks so much to everyone for the birthday wishes!! All of your good thoughts have improved my evening far beyond my daytime blahs--I pulled into the parking lot at school to find the spot right in front of the library open (which it never is at 5:15). Then, I walked into class to discover that my teacher, who last week was muttering the distinct probability of not one but two quizzes today, instead not give us any quizzes at all but gave us two take-home quizzes for next week's class. Yay!!!!!

So, I have a lot to do this weekend, but at least I can relax tonight!

I never understood the idea of a "take home" quiz. Isn't it just homework?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Criminal Minds is pretty hard to find electronically. Their showrunner is old school. You'd have to rent discs. But it's airing on cable all the time, between ION and KPAX and A&E.

Our wings are not tired.

Ooooops, I mistakenly said happy birthday to ChiKat instead of you, Kathy!! Happy happy to you!

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Oooo and I see he also did an episode of Leverage so that's exciting. I will try both repeats and discs. Like I said until about 5 minutes ago I didn't feel so entitled to the streaming. But for the old school showrunners, get over it. Han shot first.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

bob~ma!

I still intend to do a housewarming too, and we're coming up on two years! We have had parties, just not The Big Party with people chilling on the deck and live music and everything.

Ooh, ooh, yay Santa Fe vacation! I love Santa Fe and will go there at the drop of a hat. Recommendations depend on what you want to get out of your trip. Our last one we got a lot out of the many small art museums, including Georgia O'Keeffe's. We also were impacted by the Wheelwright Museum, which is on Museum Hill so if you're already going to the Museum of International Folk Art you'll be right there. There is a collection at the Wheelwright through April 18th that is art done by students at the Santa Fe Indian School between 1918 and 1945. It's amazing to see the work and its cultural expression in what were at the time boarding schools with pretty problematic policies. The bronzes outside by Houser were lovely, too. Next time we want to go to his whole museum, which required an appointment so we didn't get to last time.

Also, we had some awesome lavender lemon white chocolate bark at the Chocolatesmith which was near the Whole Foods.

Anyway, yeah. Santa Fe's great. You'll enjoy. There's plenty to do.
