On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

eah, Nora, if you're going to move, you will have to get used to the politics. The rest of the state is deeply red, and New Orleans is kind of...insane. Though with the new mayor, there's some hope.

Heh, yeah- I am steeling myself for it. I figure it will keep things interesting. I have already heard some stories about New Orleans government/management that makes me a little afraid about opening a business there. But not scared enough to not try!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happy birthday Kathy and Raq!

Burell, we have Casper's teacher conference tonight, too. Heh. We get another round of, "It's okay she can't really read yet, right? Right?"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, dilemma on the dress. I think it's not that flattering, but I still like it! But does that mean I won't actually wear it? Hmmm.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Happy belated to Pete, too!!!

On Saturday, there was a little girl at the bookstore who was at my register with her parents. I don't know why, but I looked at her and said, "Let me guess, you're...six. Maybe seven?" and she said that her birthday was going to be on Wednesday (tomorrow) and that her parents were taking her to Springfield. I told her that my b-day was the day before hers, and remined her that if her family went to Lincoln's tomb, she should be sure to rub his nose for luck. She gave me a rather skeptical look, but I reassured her that she'll be able to tell that everyone does it, by how shiny his nose is.

Those two girls, dang.

With Franny my biggest worries are her comprehension levels and her letter/number reversals. But I'm a worry wart.

I think it's not that flattering, but I still like it!

I have a dress that's very comfy but not that flattering, and oddly enough I almost always get complements when I wear it, I assume because it looks so comfy.
