Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Self-laughing coworker is "so much for global warming" it around the office today because of the volcano in Iceland and the snow in Dallas yesterday

I can see the snow in a misguided sort of way, but the volcano?

I'd say he's thinking the ash will add another layer of cover against the sun (a la nuclear winter) but I suspect that'd giving him WAY too much credit.

Okay, people. I'm going in to clean the fridge and I have no hazmat suit. If you don't hear from me in an hour. The mushrooms gained opposable thumbs and held me hostage. Send help.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If the Doctor is going to make an appearance, Monday can be as long as it wants.

I think P-C is going to vote for some Sally Sparrow involvement.

Me, I'm having Captain Jack cravings.

Possibly, since I just heard, "And global warming will offset all these things." Also, "If global warming means it's going to snow here in spring, I'm leaving my car on all the time! Ahhhahhahahahaha "

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think P-C is going to vote for some Sally Sparrow involvement.

Ha! Yes, that would be preferable.

Compassionately intolerant

They are being strict about not feeding her human food, although she was really begging when they had pizza last night.

Any advice on dog food options? The foster family had her on Iams, and I told her to check with her vet on what he thinks might be a good brand.

Sparky beat me to it. Nature's Variety was my food of choice for years. Now, because Bartleby cannot have grain, when I feed kibble, it's Taste of the Wild.

The rule of thumb is, feed the highest quality food you can to avoid health problems down the line. Avoid anything that says 'by-products' and make sure 'meal' is not the first ingredient. Just like with people, if you can't pronounce the ingredient, it probably isn't worth the risk.

The puppy is begging already? Huh.

It isn't people food that is the problem, (though pizza is never a good idea for a dog!) it is where the people food is fed. A dog doesn't generally know to beg unless it's gotten food from the table in the past.

I highly endorse having a feeding ritual that helps your dog learn how to be calm and reinforces a healthy hierarchy. Drop me an email and I'll send you a copy of my handout on the subject. Profile addy is good.

Way to rule out foreign foods.

Oy, people. I just got a "Critical" request-and while I do agree it's critical- it's for the build that went to QA this morning. So, they might should have mentioned that this was a possibility and cc'ed me on a few emails.

As it is? We'll see what we can do.
