I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Looks like you can search the crime records by neighborhood here:

There's also this: [link]

I personally never had any problems, and neither have my parents. Most of it is probably just a question of being sensible. I am not an expert, however, so you'd probably want to talk to someone who lives there, or has lived there post-Katrina.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Yeah, I'm not too squeamish about stuff like that- I agree that being sensible is the best course regardless of neighborhood.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

University of Northern Iowa just knocked Kansas out of the NCAA tournament. That's a surprise.

Wow. There's always upsets in the Big Dance, but that one REALLY screwed a shitload of people's betting pools.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That was my eldest nephew. Never caught an action shot, but he was doing same as that kid.

Heh. There's something funny about just giving a baby a frosted cake and stepping back. And taking pictures.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

First birthdays are the traditional "here, have a cake to smear all over yourself" birthday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have been at my parents' since 1 this afternoon. It was getting into old-style holiday "get me out of here territory," but my mother finally got home (from being out of town all week), and I got out of dinner tomorrow night, since we can have dinner together on Monday before choir.

On the plus side, I made awesome ground beef stroganoff for dinner (me, dad, grandmother).

I had a tiny tiny tiny pot de creme today. Now I want to have like a coffee mug size of MOAR. I want pot de creme NOW NOW NOW NOW. Ahem.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So I listened to On the Media and their section about TVTropes, and there's only one quick reference to Fast Eddie and Buffistas, but it annoyed me all the way through. I want to put up a sign somewhere: We Don't Know Any Fast Eddie.
