Hey Franny!
I'm at EM's house, as Matilda sits on Emmett's lap and he commits Call of Duty (Wii) mayhem.
We're back from Emmett's first game of the season, and the odd thing was that he played for a team that wasn't his own. At the Juniors level they often have a shortage of players and its not a big deal to borrow a player from another team.
Anyway, our season opener is tomorrow but Emmett's already got a win in the books. He played well in this game, catching the last three innings and getting a big hit and scoring a run. They had to come from behind to win.
Unfortunately, Emmett's regular team won't be nearly as good as these two teams were, so he might not see another win for a while. Matilda had a good time running around in the stands and all the parents who haven't seen her since last July exclaimed over her big girlness.
She had fun feeding sticks to Bella the Nice Dog.
Fajitas have been made and had, kitchen has been scrubbed down, cast iron pan has been thoroughly reoiled and put in warm oven.
Now I'm about to shower and go to a book signing over at Third Place Books with a friend.

mac and I are playing with Google maps. Currently we are looking at cutiehead saracake's house.
I am kinda obsessed with going an looking at my place. Is there a way to grab an image off google maps to then play with ion gimp or photo shop?
If you have a snapshot tool on your computer? I dunno.
Oh hey, the alley on googlemaps has my house before the windows had been replaced. Weird!
