Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Barb, I just got IM'ed by one of my old baseball pals saying he missed me and wanted to know if I was coming out for opening night. I need to look into getting some Rockie's tickets. I'd rather see the A's play, but I'll take the baseball where I can get it.

Nice one JZ. I didn't expect CJ to really put anything in writing, so I didn't get the chance to suggest a monetary consequence. That would have been even better. I need to call K-Bug and tell her about it.

I never had a drink (other than a sip from parents' glass) until 19.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

We were talking about drinking at jury duty and I think a few people were pretty appalled to hear about the drinking habits of my prep school. Between a passport that said I was 18 (at 15) and a mother who didn't believe in a drinking age, there was no way I wasn't drinking. Although IIRC it was mostly as a senior.

Heh. I know what you mean. I'm going to miss the Marlins, but that's not going to stop me from rooting for the Mariners. In fact, just bought tickets for the Sunday game when my in-laws are visiting. Got great seats behind home plate, but up a bit. I'm really looking forward to it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just watched Jimmy Kimmel's Handsome Men's Club. Now I want a situation to quote Lenny Kravitz. "I had your back, punk-ass bitch."

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Feeling you on the WorkFail, ita. It'll be okay. Your boss knows you well enough to know it's not your SOP.

I don't have any Irish green on me except folding money and this can of Mountain Dew.

Cats know I'm going away. They are mildly freaked. Have to leave in 2 hours, still not packed. Why am I talking to you guys? Geez.

Because we're very pretty?

Well, yes. You are very pretty. I had to sit down for a minute, and there you were.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I wore my Canberra Raiders t-shirt yesterday (rugby league team). They're otherwise known as the Green Machine, so I figure it was appropriate. Not that it was intentional, it's one of my favourite shirts.
