Good luck, ita! Hope that works out.
My old co-worker apparently was mystified by the word "scimitar" today, but she figured I would know it. She was Gchatting with my co-worker thusly:
A: can you ask sunil what the hell a scimitar is?
C: >[link]
A: i should've known
A: sunil is like a real life comic book character
A: and i honestly think he would wear a cape if he could get away with it
What festivity and good-attitude-ness, megan! You would be an asset to any team.
mac seems to be in a good mood, but still will not give up the goods. Also the babysitter from yesterday did not feel up to us today and will now be giving up her Monday to the other babysitter. I am assured she is not bailing altogether, but was just overwhelmed.
Boss just said he's going to fight for my conversion from contract to permanent because of the good work I've done.
Yay!
oh yay, good news.
Oh dear msbelle. I hope the new sitter finds her bearing soon.
I have a lot of leaf-green in my wardrobe. Some of it is more verging on limey. I want more of the leafy/grassy. I am wearing kelly today.
Oh good news, ita.
I'm on the last year of my temporary position at my job, and they still haven't done anything to bring me on permanent. I've got until February before the position expires, and it's damned hard to make long-term plans if I don't know if I'll be employed in a year.
Still itchy and spotty. I'm supposed to go to a friend's house and watch The Middleman tonight, but I'm wondering if I should stay home instead. Except we've cancelled several weeks in a row...
When I was a kid, there was some weird bit of playground lore that said that, if you wore green on a Wednesday, that meant you were gay. So when St. Patrick's Day fell on a Wednesday, there was always discussion about whether it was OK to wear green or not, and the boys who were the usual targets of bullies would get beaten up whether they wore green or not.
