And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

“Not dead yet!”

Okay. Interview over. He thinks he did okay although he said he was bamboozled by the stupidest thing, when the guy asked him out of the blue, to tell a joke and Lewis froze.

Otherwise, he thinks it went okay, other than he was babbling a bit. I'm stunned, honestly, because he said he was really nervous and he has never struck me as the type to get nervous. He interviews really, really well.

I think it's because it means so much to him.

Oh, and I told him I was looking at doggies on Petfinder and he got a petrified look on his face and said "NO. Buy a pair of shoes instead but... NO!"

My boss actually said "you know what happens if you didn't wear green?" and I said "people could pinch me adn I punch them in the crotch".

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Liese, have we had the discussion about my dad being from Aztec?

No! I don't think so anyway...but when I was living there I was more circumspect about where I was living. Hee. That's awesome, that is a seriously small world thing. Aztec is super super tiny.

I am wearing green today because the people I work with are, in fact, seven.

Yep, my grandparents had a farm there on the river for years and my grandfather was the extension agent. My dad worked at the ruins when he was in highschool. We used to fly into Farmington.

Laura, I meant to say earlier that I am so glad your son is ok. I do not look forward to the driving years.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Right now, it's $.98 to your $1.00. But generally around $.90. It's shouldn't that divergent in price.

Oh, never mind then! You're just getting screwed.

That sounds awesome, Suzi.

I'm wearing green. Heaven forbid I seem even more "negative" than I apparently already do.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My pants are olive-colored. Is that close enough?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No, tommy. Take them off.

I have never consciously worn green on St. Patrick's Day, and since I knew it was a thing, I have deliberately not done so. Not that I own a lot of green, but I'm careful not to do it by mistake.

That's the sort of negative I'm perfectly willing to appear. I will also not wear a costume to work.
