Natter 65: Speed Limit Enforced by Aircraft
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
GR.... Hey, UCLA Medical Center? Can you just put the building number and the office number NEXT to the name of the doctor in your directory? That way, when Grace has an appointment with Dr. Loo (Cindy Loo Whoo!) I would be able to figure out which damned building you are in?
Stoopid UCLA website. It took a tremendous amount of digging to figure this out.
Ugh. I'm sorry to hear of everyone's maddening days.
Hey Kat, I realize you are probably asleep so I'll take my actual offer to email, where you can read it when you wake up, but I am on break right now and could maybe watch a pinkeyed boy for you.
Thanks Scrappy, I have poked around the site, but I really want a little bitty, not even a crossover. I forgot to add that I will only buy used and that I am hoping to spend no more than $10K. I won't be buying until we are there, I'll be borrowing a car from the parental units for a while.
oh Kat, I hope your day is as good as possible considering.
Thank you all for your support last night, I think the bit of bourbon did help. I managed some sleep in mac's bed until 3:30 when he woke up in mine to find it empty and came looking for me. This morning he made no mention of last night's events or the game. I still have a very strong desire to scream a string of f-bombs at the top of my lungs.
Also? I forgot it was St. Patrick's Day and wore no green! I own a green plaid (yes, plaid) kilt and almost always wear it. am sad.
Dear insomnia fairy,
Hate you. Think you are secretly named Tino. Here's a punch in the crotch just for you.
I love New York - actual announcement over the fire alarm system just now "We have recieved a false alarm due to a burnt bagel on the 35th floor."
Yesterday I found out that my hot water heater died in the flood, so it was replaced AND in the opinion of the furnace repair guy, it's throwing money away to repair the furnace electrics ($1500-$2K minimum) when the furnace is so old (we've estimated it was made in 1922) and clearly on its last legs.
Then I went to Target AND Home Depot only to find they have sent back ALL their space heaters for the season. My next move is to call around to all the non-chain hardware stores here and find if any have some in stock....
jilli, I saw these cards and thought of you: [link] They would be extra awesome if they were actual papercuts and not just prints.
On the bright side, it's supposed to hit 61F today. However, it's in the high 40s as I write this and even with the oven going in the kitchen, my fingers are damn cold.
I've already spent enough on the sump pump and replacement hot water heater than I will make in a couple weeks at the Census job....
Oh man, Theo. What awesome timing for you. Oh, wait -- not awesome, the other thing.
There was a whole lot of WTFery in here after I went to bed, to which I say: WTF.
I spent from 3-4 awake, which was annoying and I don't understand. Bleh.
Happy Evacuation Day!!!
Dear insomnia fairy,
You too, huh?
Although the insomnia fairy was being weird last night. I'd be dreaming, but still realize I was lying in bed not really feeling asleep, and a couple of times that I thought I looked at the clock, I must have done so in my dream, because the time didn't make sense.
Also, when I first went to bed, I thought I'd been lying there for an hour or so and it turned out to be three. Still didn't feel like I got any sleep, though I must have.
So basically, I had restless night's sleep where I dreampt I had insomnia. FU Tino you polar bear!
