Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

“Not dead yet!”

Side note - when you can't sleep, do you look at the clock to see how much sleep you're not getting, or do you not want to know?

I do. It's a combination of exasperation at the lack of sleep and wishful thinking that maybe, looking at the clock will entice me to sleep.

Makes no sense.

I hope you feel better.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Laura, the plumber ran a hose out through the basement window onto the sidewalk in such a way that it runs into the street and thence to a sewer. We'll eventually fix it up so that it connects up to the sewer hookup for the house, but first matters like getting the furnace going, and the hot water on again take priority.

These plumbers work out of Cambridge so they're familiar with what is permitted and not, so I'm not worried about the city/cops getting upset.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I check the clock every little bit just in case I did fall asleep for a while.

Whomever is hoarding the motivation, please send some through the interwebs. 2 cup of coffee are not even helping.

Oh, and did I mention that I had a dream last night about Zombies. It was crazy. Something happened on Earth while we were up on a flight, so when we landed, if we got outside for too long we were exposed to it also and were zombified. Once we figured out what was going on we were trying to keep as many from our flight together on a bus we commandeered, but different groups kept lying to us about how long they had been outside and would start zombifying right there on the bus with us and we'd have to kill them.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What that a scary dream? Or just annoying?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Me, I don't want to know. I think that if I don't know that I only got 4 hours of sleep (or whatever), I can power through it and convince myself I'm only a little tired.

It wasn't scary oddly enough, it was annoying. I just kept getting annoyed each time we had to kill someone else because it was tiring and messy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

do you look at the clock to see how much sleep you're not getting, or do you not want to know?

I used to not want to know, but nowadays I make a decision--no matter how awake I feel, if it's before 4, I stay in bed. Sometimes if it's after 4 I get up and start doing stuff.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I pretty much always know what time it is. It's a thing.

hip deep in pie

Looking at the time when I can't fall asleep gets me more worked up about being unable to fall asleep. But if I wake up in the middle of the night, I automatically check the clock.
