I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

Rewriting History in Texas

I think this bit may be the worst.

- Thomas Jefferson no longer included among writers influencing the nation’s intellectual origins.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. Possibly because he was a Deist....

“Not dead yet!”

The gronk is thick and mighty here as well. We're still in the process of getting Mooshu's blood sugar back under control after the Week O'Vet. This means that he is likely to wake up at 4:30 in the morning (like he did this morning) and want to a) drink copious amounts of water, b) go take a wonder whizz and c) drink more copious amounts of water.

Which then translates into two hours later, wanting to repeat the same thing. Not such a big deal, since I have to be up at 6:45 anyhow, but cranky-making when I didn't sleep well and had the 4:30AM interruption.

I hope there will be a nap in my future. Not betting on it, though.

Coffee gud.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The Texas board also rejected a proposal to include more Hispanic people in the history books. Because the only history that counts is white Anglos.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

However, the eye test they do (usually first) is a biological test

When I was at the height of my vertigo problems, my eyes would have gotten me arrested for driving under the influence.

Another day of working from home. Shoes and my toe are still non-mixy. Very annoying.

You could drive with vertigo? I couldn't even walk down stairs when I had it.

“Not dead yet!”

That means, for instance, that schools in left-leaning states like Oregon and Vermont could soon be teaching from textbooks that are short on references to Ted Kennedy but long on references to conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly.

Oh, for frak's sake.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oy. I just got a call back about a job, which would be good, except it's really too junior for me. In role and money.
