Our wings are not tired.

Without knowledge of sump pumps and how they work type question, if you are pumping water out of the basement where do you make the water go? Do you run a hose to the city sewer system or something?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

There seems to be some psychological disconnect -- on one hand, you have crackpot theorists outside the scientific establishment, on the other you have august senior scientists, not to mention international consortiums of research establishments.

The key is whether or not they believe in anthropogenic climate change - if it's all just sunspots, then there's nothing we can do about it anyway so let's all crank up the AC in our Humvees while we still can.

Our wings are not tired.

You know, I wonder how many of the people worrying about the massive solar storm refuse to believe in Global Warming/Climate Change.

Same co-worker will vigorously argue why Global Warming is a complete conspiracy to make money for someone or other. (I try not to ask questions because the lecture will never end) We had a cold snap where we were in the 50s in the office and had to buy space heaters since we don't have heat. She spent the week muttering about how Al Gore should return his award.

Meet my assistant, never met a conspiracy theory she didn't love. She is otherwise brilliant and a hella good worker so I deal with the crazy.

I think I need a sump pump for my sinuses this morning. Allergy season, how I did not miss you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

God, my alarm going off makes me want to weep.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

YAY sun! we also have the glowing orb.

Despite like a week of rain, my apartment is dry dry dry. I have had some windows open for two days and yet when I ran my humidifier last night, it never kicked off. My nose feels better this morning than it has in 4 days, so I'll keep running it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

This is my Monday after the time change.

Is it better or worse that it's actually Tuesday?

They pay me in WOIMS

Instead of setting her clock ahead 1 hour, she set it back 23 hours.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Is it better or worse that it's actually Tuesday?

Clearly you are all crazy, wrong-headed people, as it's actually Wednesday.
