And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

DH and I did most of our taxes online today - we're missing the EIN for Dylan's current daycare, which we can't file without even though we spent way more than the max amount to deduct on his old daycare (he switched midyear). Somehow we owe on federal this year but are getting a refund from NY, which is the opposite of how it usually works, but I double checked everything I could think of and it seems to be correct.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have such a Peter Graves crush. Last thing I saw him in was an episode of Cold Case. I was still feeling it. He was the reason I started the silverfoxes site, even though I don't have near enough pictures of him.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Did Peter Graves narrate A & E's Biography? I somehow have him in the same corner of my mind as Nick Clooney.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Taxes are done. I know I am missing some charitable donations, but I do not think it would matter much. Getting a nice refund that will pay down, but not off, the big credit card. Now to bed. It is hot in my apartment which does not make any sense, but we have windows open and still, hot.

OH! and just because I kept posting about it, I finally did make it down to the storage unit and brought up 2 bags of throw pillow, 3 suitcases (for spring break trip in 2 weeks), and outdoor play gear for mac to start using at the playground with the babysitters. Still need to pull out some more, but that was a good start.

Yeah, he did.

Taxes I will do next weekend, for real.

The cat cube I posted about all the cats ignoring of late? Has had a Loki in it all night. Like, since 6 pm, with a brief foray. I did open out the windows all day today, so it is cooler up there than usual, but still. It's like he knew.

Also, I had soufflé for lunch and dinner, courtesy of Panera. Does that count as pie?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This Hoarders show just motivated me to clean off my kitchen table. It's not totally done, but it's better. Tomorrow will be laundry.

I wish I knew if I got the job I applied for, because I think I should confirm that I don't need to pay estimated tax for next year before I bother filing now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What state is she in?

She is in Tennessee, but wants to leave very very much. She's thinking of coming here to Virginia; there's a dental hygiene school in Richmond, and she'd have me, so she wouldn't be alone.

I don't even know how I am not dead.

Further evidence for guardian angels.

Depending on what the tuition is, and what her living expenses are, she may be eligible for enough in federal student loans to make that possible. Her age makes it tricky though - she may be on the young end where they still expect a parental contribution.

OK, federal - I guess there's an easily findable website for that. She will not be getting any parental contribution, because her mother barely makes enough to support herself and the younger daughter.

The school had a financial aid office that hooked me up with the info.

I think she's already talked to the school financial aid office. Maybe.

RIP Peter Graves. Alas.
