This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know erinaceous was excited about the Liberty bedding and stuff -- fabric for projects!

“Not dead yet!”

A friend from from Cali is visiting Seattle this week because her sister is graduating from nursing school, so another friend and I have been invited to the graduation party. I feel a little weird and anxious because it's new people who I don't know in any way. But at least I'm going with my friend as support. And I've bought a bottle of wine as a gift, so I won't have my mother hovering over my shoulder and whispering that I'm a crappy guest.

Stoopit anxiety.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

ABC Family is showing a Cutting Edge marathon today. The first three Cutting Edge movies, followed by the new one. I think I've seen the second one, but I wasn't aware there was a third one.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Mmmm, pie. I'm worried the family will want me to make that crack pie again. It was good but... whoa.

Today is the day of the food fight b-day party anyway. I may not feel like looking at food after that.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I've never seen The Cutting Edge, and yet I reflexively respond "Toe Pick."

I have no pie. I was thinking of going to Target, but I had toilet paper and ibuprofen in mind.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

The rain has started again in earnest, please send an ark.

We have churched and lunched, now comic book store, then home for playdate and person coming to buy duplo sets. I also hope to get down to the storage room and pull out some spring clothes and the bags of throw pillows that I had stored down ther during the bugs.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I don't have pie either. It's a gorgeous spring day here—all sunny, with puffy clouds. I'm meeting up with a friend in a couple of hours to go rambling on some trails. Maybe I'll convince her to get pie after that. And if I fail, I can console myself with pie! This is an excellent plan, in that it's pie-pie.

I have no pie. I do have enough frozen ingredients to make a blueberry pie, but I don't really feel like it.

Maybe I'll make soda bread. I've also got a recipe for corned seitan and cabbage that I usually make for St. Patrick's Day, but I'm not sure if I feel like it this year. Maybe if I get my kitchen table cleared off, so that I can sit down while doing all the chopping and prep work.
