I went out with a a friend and drank alcohol in a bar. That almost never happens. Fear me.

Wrote a long post and then hit a wrong button and lost it all. The short version:

Cat's eye: healed

Family Farm Expo: uninspiring. Worth the Groupon price ($8) though - the $20 door price would have been bothersome.

Mexican restaurant we went to afterward because the FFE sucked: way expensive, but good margaritas.

Cats: less responsibility, but more actual annoyance than dogs.

Also, I bought some new polishes the other day. One is a dark blue, but a matte - I've really never seen that in nail polish before. I love the color, but it feels a little like when you were in junior high and colored your nails with a sharpie.

Also got a dark shiny purple. I think I'll take that with me to an actual pro mani.

Did you try turning it off and turning it back on?

The funny thing is that I wouldn't have thought of us as having the same color happy places, but clearly we do.

I should go list my top ten makeup and nail colors. Just in case we've not talked about one of them already.

Cass is very good at picking out colors for people--she sent me the purple I am wearing.

I acquired a new polish today from a friend. OPI Purple with a Purpose. She accidentally bought a dup and gave it to me. I'm eager to try it, though I'm still happy with the current green nails. Maybe after St. Pat's.

I am avoiding the Nubar site. That would be dangerous, though I really do want to check out the top coat Plei recommends.

Time to get out and hit the grocery store. I have outside clothes on, should actually go...outside.

I got my kitchen roughly half clean - by which I mean really spring-cleaning type clean, but only 3/4 of the counters and not the floor yet. Rearranged things to have real counter space, too, and made the cupbords make some kind of sense. Unfortunately, cannot get the soda siphon to work right (or fit in the fridge, which is part of the problem, I suspect), but otherwise very happy with the progress.

Going out to dinner in about an hour - reservations and everything!
