I'm not sure I've ever used it to anyone's face, except to respond to my parents' (recent) assertion of same. It just doesn't trip off my tongue.

It's loaded to me. I worry about my audience. But I have to say it, even if only in my head. Or a farewell, love ya! Pretty sure I did it to you, one way or the other.

Not knowing if I said it to Grandpa Ed still bugs me, and it is pretty much 25 years ago. I probably did. It was a family routine. But I don't remember, so much of that night was strange (he was lucid like he hadn't been since the multiple strokes. His english was clear, and he'd lost the english a year plus before. He was his teasing self, calling me bubbles cause I kept laughing. Still said Yoshua, but he could never say Joshua .) We were up so very late, planning for swedish pancakes at a local place in the morning.

Tresabel is a great name.

I love it. Too bad I'm not having kids.

“Not dead yet!”

Luke Perry as a fundie whackjob is truly terrifying.

Because books.

Tresabel sounds like someone who needs a book written about her. And wow, definitely an excellent name.

Catching up on the Tresabel posts, totally agreed.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The cousin who was killed by a bus? I'd promised him a copy of Godel, Escher, Bach and never given him one. I know how stupid that is, but he was the only non-immediate relative one party weekend that didn't give me grief for reading it. And he'd have liked it, dammit.

I know what Barb is watching. I'm TiVoing it myself.

If'n ya wanna... Grandpa wrote up a 50-100 page autobio maybe 50 years ago. Beyond that, it's all children memory. And hell, my eldest aunt is over 70. Not possible!

In this age of internet, and most of 'em are on it, I should prompt them to send memories.

Which I'm now gonna do.

I can't figure out what Barb is watching, actually.

Sara is asleep, Ben has friends sleeping over and they're watching Dawn of the Dead downstairs, in the dark, I have a piece of cake and a Tudors disc to put in, and Stephen just made me a fresh pot of tea. Life is good at the moment.

“Not dead yet!”

Criminal Minds repeat on A&E. Luke Perry as a Jim Jones type.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Luke Perry as a fundie whackjob is truly terrifying.
