Public Sex on the Rise

More than 90 people, mostly men, were arrested for having sex in public parks in L.A. in 2009. That's up from 75 in 2008, and cops are cracking down in Elysian Park, Griffith Park and Sycamore Grove Park in northeastern L.A.
...

Strangely, cops say "many" of the repeat suspects who have been arrested in flagrante delicto and, well, mano a mano too, "claim to be married and heterosexual."

Because books.

I just sat through the most irritating and unprofessional IEP. I am fuming.

What happened?

The RSP teacher asked if the girl was going to prom (note prom is expensive and this girl is admittedly SUPER shy and has no boyfriend. She is also 4 inches shorter than I am and outweighs me by about 50-70 lbs and I've never seen her in anything other than a hoody and super baggy pants) because she was really excited to see her in a dress.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm sorry your IEP was horrible Kat.

(I'm a little more than excited that I now know what that is and what they [typically] entail!)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I finished an English paper in class one time. But just the once!

If you haven't watched these two Gabby Sidibe clips, you should: [link] Who's more fun than Gabby? No one. None more fun.

What pushed my buttons was, what in god's name does this have to do with this child's inability to access the English curriculum? And we spent 15 minutes discussing her timidity and it's root cause (which is appropriate perhaps). At that time, the RSP teacher was like, "It's okay to be shy bla blah blah." But apparently it's not okay to wear baggy clothes or not go to prom.

Oh, Kat. Wow.

Yeah. It was bad. This one is not my fave RSP teacher. I actually coteach with my fave who is all about, "How do you manipulate the situation you are in... you don't have to do all the work, but you have to do 70% of it."

I wanted to punch this one in the crotch. Instead, I got up and left.
