All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I knew exactly what Burrell whitefonted too. ::shiver::

I have done a number of unsafe things in my life (usually involving wandering off with strange men), but the worst that ever turned out was when we were abandoned in a strange guy's house and felt guilty leaving until they got back. Crazy.

Got my new computer! Named her Martha. Am desperately in love. But I'm sad to be putting Cass (no Buffista diss intended) out of commission.

Only two, ChiKat?

My deal is it's due at the beginning of class. The end. No late work accepted. I still have kids who are like, "can I turn it in Monday?"

Sure you can. For no credit and I won't grade it, but I might correct it.

Also, you need this class to graduate as you are 12th graders and this is your LAST CHANCE to pass English.

Gr. ARgh.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Only two, ChiKat?

Surprisingly, yes. All my students know late work is 50% off. It's not a big surprise. I teach 8th grade, so I do allow late work, but it will get graded down.

Most of the work we do in class. If they aren't ready, they are slackers.

Not just women, apparently.

Me too.

Therapy is not going as well as I had hoped.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Poor msbelle.

Hey, I need advice from people who are better at color theory than I am! (Yes, I could ask Pete, but it would probably lead to much eye-rolling on his part.)

If I was looking at two heavily-pigmented lip gloss/stain products, adding a drop or two of black to a purpled-fuchsia color should result in a blackened fuchsia/pomegranate color, right?

he brought up the ds at dinner right before therapy, for the first time all week. And he really tried to work himself up into a mad mood before his session. Then he went in and was told by his therapist that it was staying away for a while and he came out of the session and proclaimed it was over. We eventually get him to agree to draw and he draws me with a knife in me, awesome. He also pulls out 2 books that I've never seen before. He says some kid gave them to him, they look brand new. I am pretty sure he took them from someone. Gah.
