Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If I were to paint my nails anything other than what I consider neutrals: strong reds, browns, or black, I'd feel too constricted in clothing choices.

I was having this conversation with my mother and grandmother just last weekend -- my mother swung by a friend's house to borrow nail polish remover one time when she forgot about a big meeting and her nails clashed with her clothes. Heh.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That's great news, Lisah.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, lisah, that's fantastic.

I have a new OPI blue on now, too! It started chipping right away though which always happens but always makes me sad. I don't really fear the not matching with it. I'm thinking it's, as they say, a POP of color for whatever outfit i'm wearing.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That is great, lisah and Bob!

Because books.

Excellent news, lisah!

I don't care about my polish clashing with my clothes so much, but I have rings with stones in different colors, and if I have a really bright or saturated not-neutral color on, I'll stick to silver rings.

My favorite new "neutral" is a gorgeous navy blue.

Thanks, guys! We are feeling pretty lucky, for sure. We have a pre-op consult with the surgeon today and have about 3 pages of questions to ask. (Mine "When will he be able to resume his househusband chores?" I've gotten pretty spoiled having someone do all my laundry and wash the dishes, etc.! Hah!)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm so happy for Bob, lisah! Doctors must be pretty damn confident, then, which is a big relief, I'm sure.

They talked about his case in Tumor Board yesterday and this treatment plan was the consensus. I love the idea of Tumor Board!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

There is a small hole in the outside wall of our office building. Occasionally a bird will come in and fly around.

I can hear a bird making noises in the ceiling right now.
