I just emailed in sick to work--I've been fighting off the yuck all week (started with the scratchy throat on Saturday night, have progressed to coughing, sneezes, and runny nose, and am now dizzy and couldn't sleep too well due to not breathing too well last night), and now I'm giving in to it since a co-worker is back after she's been sick for the past two days. My boss emailed me back and told me to take care, so I'm hoping she isn't too pissed.
I think I'll be going back to bed now.
Oh, Poor Corey.
This was not a good night/morning.
1. My home computer has a horrible virus, and I can't even get the Symantec thing to open.
2. I am constipated and my stomach hurts to much
3. I woke up and 2 am and was unable to fall asleep because my stomach hurt too much.
4. Because I had no computer and my DVD player is at the theatre I ended up watching a tape that ended up having this really crazy Batman TV series movie, with Peter Krause as young Adam West, and involved old Adam West, playing himself, and the guy who played robin solving a mystery to find the batmobile and donate to an orphanage before the Munsters donated first!
5. I finally fell asleep again at 6 am. I have to get up at 6:20
6. I got up at 7:20, made it out the door by 7:30 and just missed my bus
7. The bus I took was extra slow, and I couldn't even catch the later bus at my transfer, so I waited at my transfer for another bus for a half an hour
8. My stomach still really hurts
9. The bus I ended up taking was superfull, and the standing room people WOULD NOT MOVE BACK!!!! There were about 20 people crowded around the driver because a man was blacking the way back with his body and would not move.
10. I am now at work, and my stomach still really hurts.
I liked "Lucas", "License to Drive" and "Dream a Little Dream". I am a little bereft. I LOVED him. My BFF in high school loved Feldman, so we kept up on everything they did.
Aww, he was the cutie in "Lucas"? That's so sad.
ION, today's xkcd made me snort my coffee and now my sinuses are caffeinated: [link]
Ugh, Sophia! I think maybe you should have taken Kathy's lead, and called in sick.
Oh man, Corey Haim. That's sad.
Sophia, can you take anything to help wrt your stomach? any access to a store? Coffee?
I have watched the first two episodes of Parenthood and enjoyed it. I particularly loved the running
battle between Adam and the possum.
Also that his dad, apparently,
thinks it's possible that the possum is a figment of Adam's imagination.
I think Craig T. Nelson is spot on in the role.
I'm only at the start of this week's Good Wife, but really, if they'd just called him
Jones
it could have been a down-low White Collar crossover.
I've spent the wee hours clearing off the TiVo, due to insomnia issues. I feel some of your distress, Sophia. Luckily I get to work from home this morning since I have a doctor's appointment. Unfortunately it's a painful appointment (they check trigger points) so I'll see if I'm up to the office when it's done.
