Wow sara, that is odd. I can see making the upstairs 2 BRs, but one is an odd choice.

megan, cool? How many days of jury pay does your company cover?
They don't say in the policies. Just that it's covered. Since they don't give us sick days and no one seems to track my vacation, I'm not too worried about it. It really should only be a few days.
Oh, then, have fun! I loved serving.
Yeah, I'm excited. In NY, the minute I said I was getting my doctorate, I was dismissed. Let's just say that this case was somewhat easy to have a personal opinion on or experience with, so they really couldn't be picky about people's professions and such.
msbelle, it's sort of two rooms, but more a parlor/sitting room with opening like between my 2 downstairs rooms. The traffic flow is as if one room. And yeah. It works for a single/couple with no kids and no company, but that's about it. And the thing is, a lot of single people here take on roommates, so.
Coolness!!
I served on the first prosecuted hate crime in San Francisco (against a gay man). We ended up convicting on felony assault, but not the hate crime (we determined that the guys who beat the gay guy up would have done it regardless of the guy's orientation - they were just a bunch of drunk wankers looking to pick a fight that night).
So, today, my school learned that we were on the 188 sucky schools in California that should be taken over by the state or have some other reform happen. The bad thing is that the school hasn't been open for 4 years yet so the 5 years the state is using as data doesn't really mean anything. And the principal has really done a lot to turn it around, with giant score increases last year.
Bah. Hum. Bug. But if I could fire some of my coworkers and get $2 million in the process I'd get on that train.
Lucky me, I got the stupidest case EVER.
My sister has a one bedroom house, and the first house we made an offer on years ago was a one bedroom. (We had Plans, but the dude was unwilling to do the work we requested to make the deal happen.)
We lived in what was originally a one-bedroom cottage (story was it had been a servant's home when it was part of a larger estate). Another bedroom had been added along the back, although you had to walk through the original bedroom to get to it.
