That reminds me--they're having a blood drive here at work today, but I'm on HBP meds, so I probably won't be able to give.

I'm not sure what the intent of that article is supposed to be, but the tone of "ZOMG! SIZE 12 WOMAN NOT A DISGUSTING PIG!" is typical of the NYT Style section.
That article also emphasized how sizes are kind of arbitrary. The model has a smaller waist than I do, and I wear a 6 (in things that sit on the hips, which everything does these days. I am narrow-hipped.)
I told mac's therapist that we are moving, she's a little thrown by it, which ehn, I get, but really, I am giving you 6 months notice and she better than anyone knows the situation. I decided I had to tell her now because she was getting all up in my grill about feeling I had to get things done (like evaluations both she and his psychiatrist want done). And also I needed to shut her up basically telling me that I am a control freak. DUH! I am working on it, I know it is not good for mac. It is a fairly major large part of my personality.
Being raised by non-drinkers, I'm always a little baffled by people who want a bar in their office. The whole drinking culture is alien to me. I'll have a glass of wine with dinner maybe twice a year, and there's a bottle of cheap wine at home that I'll take a swig from occasionally, but I've never seen the point of drinking more than that. Of course, college students are not the best models of behavior.
I can't have a bar in the office. If I had a drink everytime I needed one in this office, I'd never get any work done.
But it would be SO much less painful!

Ayup.

I'm just used to sitcoms and whatnot of the '60s where people had bars in their office, so I've always thought it'd be cool.
