Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Btw, cheer yourself up on a Monday morning by watching the OK Go "This Too Shall Pass" Rube Goldberg video. (again)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Skip the whole opening, Hughes tribute, LXD, the Modern Family commercial, Bullock's speech, Bigelow's speech...

That's all the stuff I liked! The NPH part of the opening was good. And, well, Bigelow's speech was meh. I also liked the horror montage, even if it was weird at times. There were various good things throughout.

Whoops, poorly worded. It should have been - Skip the whole opening. Watch Hughes tribute, LXD, the Modern Family commercial, Bullock's speech, Bigelow's speech...

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I loved the Hughes tribute, the dead folks tribute, Bullock's speech. I wanted to love LDX, but didn't. I liked it but it seemed disconnected from the stories of the films.

Am I the only one here who has seen The Blind Side? I must admit, I really enjoyed it. It's from the perspective of Bullock's character, not Orr's. Is it white woman saving black boy? That's the story, you can't get around it. They do play down that aspect and Bullock's character gets incensed at her "friends" who lay it out like that. It's more about what her character gets from the relationship and knowing Michael than the other way around. It's her awakening to a part of society she's never seen before.

Our wings are not tired.

I fell asleep and didn't see much of the stuff worth watching. I'll have to catch the clips.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

They were great. Tina Fey - bulletproof funny.

RDJ is proving to be pretty entertaining at awards shows as well. He was hilarious at the Golden Globes.

Whoops, poorly worded. It should have been - Skip the whole opening. Watch Hughes tribute, LXD, the Modern Family commercial, Bullock's speech, Bigelow's speech...

Oooh, that makes more sense.

I liked it but it seemed disconnected from the stories of the films.

I didn't understand how Up translated into "doing the robot." Did they think they were doing Toy Story ?

Coding and Sleeping

I didn't watch the Oscars, but I did get a funny line from Leif this weekend. Though you sort of have to know him to see how funny it is.

He was talking about how awesome he is, not unusual, and my wife remarked. "And humble too."

He didn't know what humble meant so he asked his sister who told him it meant to have modesty. So then he blurts out "What's modesty?" Which is just the perfect line from him.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Fey and RDJ was the prepared highlight. Sandra's speech and Bigelow's wins were the surprise highlights, for me.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I just watched the John Hughes tribute and man, you all weren't kidding about the sour puss on Kristen Stewart during it! She didn't just look bored, she looked extremely irritated.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My love-on for RDJ is huge. I will have to hit up youtube from home to see if I can catch their bit.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I should have gone to bed earlier last night. I am slipping into serious nap mode now.
