I'm actually having dinner tonight with formerly-estranged best friend, so we'll see how this goes. I used to scorn watching the Oscars (it's a perfect night to score a difficult reservation in Chelsea), and then last year during Bar prep I was really sad not to be able to watch it, so now I'm looking forward to watching it!
so now I'm looking forward to watching it!
It's worth it just for the red carpet watch and post.
Hey, megan, I searched the Gaming thread and saw that you enjoyed Dominion. I've recently become addicted and bought both Dominion: Intrigue and Dominion and am always looking for more people to play with.
This weekend:
feeding the cat thru a tube every 4 hours or so ( easier than other things I've done for a cat, but lack of sleep, not so good)
gather tax info
I can think of stuff to do , but I need to make sure there is fun

I have yet to play that one, though it's attracted quite the following (and I do like my card games). If you get a chance, check out Race for the Galaxy too. I've found it has excellent replay value.
I haven't gotten tired of Dominion yet, since you never play the same game twice. I'm still discovering new strategies and card combinations. And I've only played with Seaside once! That'll be the next buy.
What I enjoy is that the cards you pick and the people you play with determine what each game is like. When I say you never play the same game twice, I really mean it. We've played two games in a row that felt completely different because we had to play differently in order to win. And sometimes the most obvious strategy (only buying Provinces, which are worth the most points) doesn't end up being the winning one.
I've never played Race for the Galaxy.
Oh yes ALL of this is progress. The progress is why we have not used the word forever although I think that is where we are headed. We have to give mac time to do more processing on it. I just spoke with his uncle and I think we have a plan. Designated ds times: fri night at home, sat and sun on subways or cars. I will literally lock it up the rest of the time (although he won't know that)m if he goes looking for it or fights me over it, we have this discussion again and THEN it might be forever.
You know, Uncle G is going to miss that little boy.
So are you still holding off until the end of the month before you start the designated times?
