"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

ita, say something first and see how it's handled. If it's not or handled poorly then tip accordingly.

Wasn't there video somewhere of that Spike tongue thing?

What? It's for work.

Coding and Sleeping

I took advice from the infamous Tim Minear and said, "I don't give a fuck about the money."

I do think that's some good advice. When I finally get done with revision and rewriting my TDM project (so far that has taken twice the time of the initial draft), I thinking of make a podcast out of it. I'll give the publishing thing a shot, but the chance of that is small, so I figure a podcast might be a good way to share this thing I've made.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have a lot of confidence in your ability to promote Sam if you go the Lulu route, Allyson.

I don't know what I'm doing this weekend. I mostly feel like sleeping and watching TV, so that's probably what I'll do.

Oh, paying bills, it's time to pay bills again.

I think we are going to out to dinner tonight, so that'll be fun. We've been unsuccessfully trying to go out to dinner for what seems like months, so I hope we can pull this off and finally get my super secret go to a restaurant once a week plan underway.

Maybe Alice in Wonderland at some point.

Now tagless for your comfort.

This weekend, I'm running a 10K and we're taking the kids to Mall of America so DH can shop for some work clothes while we swim.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Perkins, I wouldn't vote against that.

I got a discount on my meal because of the delay. Tipped on the full amount because I'm only mildly pissed at the server. She should have apologised before I complained.

Got beefed up TiVo back. Home now!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Maybe I can sell a thousand copies.

If you can sell a thousand self-published you'll probably make more money than if you got a publisher.

“Not dead yet!”

If you can sell a thousand self-published you'll probably make more money than if you got a publisher.

Average sales for most self-published novels is generally less than a couple hundred copies sold. However, Allyson has a definite advantage because she is higher profile than most who go the self-pub route and is very internet-savvy. And if she does do very well (edging up into the 5K range) it might get a traditional publisher to pick her up.

Our wings are not tired.

it might get a traditional publisher to pick her up.

Has that happened? Cool! Sort of like record companies signing artists they find on YouTube.
