I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I am washing my gigantic shower curtain (it goes all the way around the tub, because it's a pedestal tub with a shower curtain ring) in the washing machine for the first time ever. I hope I don't destroy the curtain or the washing machine.

Though given the choice, I'd take a destroyed curtain over a destroyed machine.

Also, we are out of bleach.

And I'm going to make an apple crisp. (That isn't related to the shower curtain, just part of my brain infodump.)

Our wings are not tired.

I just really needed to have some control over the sitch.

Understandable.

I totally x-posted with Allyson -- I think making the decision that made your stomach unclench is the right decision. And I can't wait to be able to buy Sam!

So I just said, "look, I don't care about money, so here's the date I need you to get back to me so I can go POD in time for summer."

In my totally uninformed opinion, summer doesn't sound very far away. You should do what's best for you, but that doesn't seem like a long time for the slow turning wheels of business.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm glad you came to a decision that feels right to you, Allyson.

What are people doing this weekend?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So the wait for my simple order was huge. I can't decide if I'm arsed enough to tip adversely (yeah, I've been told it doesn't work--I don't care) or actually say something. She saw my dirty looks.

What are people doing this weekend?

Going to see Wait Until Dark at the Paramount tonight, then up to Petaluma tomorrow to plan London trip with my uncle Dave, then Sunday is chores and OSCARS!

ETA: I just bought my first Groupon for the teeth whitening. I really hope I can schedule it before I leave on my trip. I want gleaming pics for my grad photos.

I'll have some kidless time with my wife since the kids are going to be divided amongst grandparents Saturday. Driving will take a chunk out of that though. I'm also going to fix my car's glovebox so it isn't hanging open all the time. Cleaning, kidcare, and writing will probably take up the rest of the time.

I am back to my shutin ways this weekend.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What are people doing this weekend?

Nothing tonight, but maybe I can play some Dominion with my neighbor(s).

Tomorrow, I have rehearsal—please come see DeathPlay!—but then nothing much, maybe do my taxes or something.

Sunday is load-in and then OSCARS!
