Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
he'd lecture you about the importance of having a good formatting/indentation scheme. Unless you already do.
My problem is trying to keep everything on one screen. Unfortunately the query includes a lot of explicit listing of values that can either scroll off to the right or scroll off the bottom. At least the software indicates closing parentheses. I just have to make sure they're visible.
Sadly, it looks like T-Rex is also a tea bagger: [link]
I'm shocked I was so far down on the Gang of 14 list as I was! I guess that was back when I wasn't posting at work (thus the "meara" was born, because I caught up at the end of the day every day--long posts, but not very many of them!). These days, I work from home and post all day long. Or travel, and post on lunch and shit. Or read from my iphone (need to not do that!)
Flea, my favorite part of the ASL videos you posted is the closed captioning, which shows the ASL-words!! My rudimentary ASL was catching some of it, but it's really need to see what signs exactly they're using, and how it compares to the words in teh songs (um, especially for songs like "1st of May" or other wordy Jonathan Coulton songs)
Wondermark creator MUST lurk here. Or Tom is a meme inventor. Ooooh.
Jesse, what did your friend's parents do, when their sixth grader refused to go to school?
Hee. I never would've thoguht we'd natter so much about OLD BUREAUCRAZY!!
Sean! Empire of the Sun soundtrack just came up on iTunes and I immediately thought of you. I think that may have been one of the first conversations we actually had, about the merits of that soundtrack.
I am totally in love with msbelle right now for handling the lunch question so perfectly. Parental WIN.
He's just starting to get learned benefit of consequences, like say a 3.5 or 4 year old.
My daughter has learned that one. My 4 yo? NSM. I'm glad to hear it sinks in eventually.
I'm shocked I was so far down on the Gang of 14 list as I was!
And I'm shocked at high I was on the list. Wasn't that back in the days when you couldn't post at work and so invented the "meara" as a way to catch up on the days' conversation?
Oh! Other funny thing about 2002 -- the emphasis on tapes. Tapes, people! We are old.
I remember first hearing about torrenting in the Buffy thread. People like Sophia and...Theo? Laura? were getting the episode that way before it aired.
Thanks Burrell.
and now mac has gotten so bored that he is actually doing HOMEWORK! that would have been assigned today. Pre-emptive weekend homework! it's a child development miracle.
Hee. That's awesome boredom.
