I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Mesa is one of the places I got restaurant week reservations.

The spa I was looking at is the Lake Austin. For now, I am in, but that's a year from now, I don't make plans a year out.

I'm getting the pig!

Mesa is one of the places I got restaurant week reservations.

JEALOUS! I've had dreams about the grilled lamb porterhouse chop that I ate there last year. Oh, god. So yum.

Hey Perkins - that isn't to say that I wouldn't be maybe interested in visiting Vegas with you sometime...

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've been blowing off going to the grocery store since the holidays (lots of drive-thru fast food), and I know I have to start eating better. Solution? Delivery! Even though I spent a lot, I've got food to last until mid-February at least, especially if I just run into the grocery store for occasional items when I need to. Food will arrive tomorrow morning between 6-8, so I have to be up early.

First time I've done this in over a decade, and the selection is so much better than it was back then, and it's cheaper, too. Now I just have to start clipping coupons, which means I have to pick up the Sunday paper.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mmm...Mesa...

Nicole -- Bear in mind that the scale of the hotels means that the place next door is a block away. I mean, there's a tram that runs between TI & the Mirage, and they're neighbors. But the Rio is close-ish, and definitely cheaper. And there's a shuttle that runs from it to Caesars.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

lots of resources are deployed to keep the tourists safe and happy

Oy, don't get me started about that in Jamaica either.

I am wearing houndstooth today. Giant green on green houndstooth. Velour. It's quite tasteful, honest. Each tooth is over an inch long.

msbelle, I only know from Jamaica prices. That's for two people, right?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Time traveler's cheat sheet

Have you ever fantasized about traveling back in time a few hundred or thousand years and giving civilization a boost? Here's a poster for you in case your fantasy comes true. You can even get it on a T-shirt.

UPDATE: Some commenters have kindly pointed out that this poster was created by Ryan North of Dinosaur Comics. Thank you, kind commenters!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Nicole, The Imperial Palace is right across the street. It's cheap and cheesy. DH used to stay there all the time.

I think I'm going to go to Mohegan Sun this weekend to try to ease the Vegas jones, but I'm afraid it won't actually help....

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Boy, there's some cute houndstooth stuff out there. Most of it wouldn't fit me, and the rest I couldn't afford, but it sure is pretty.
