If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Mieskie was at least three people--also schmoker and anathema. And then at least one minor spelling variation.

aurelia told me she got the idea his actual name was Michael and that now she always pictures him as Michael from SGA. And that helps a lot, actually. Try rereading his posts with a bit of a sibilant wraith hiss - it works!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yup, from reading B'cracy, it seems his real name is Michael. I hadn't remembered that two of the names were the same ID. He did try to come back as mmmieskie (eta: and I find a mieskie/ and a /mieskie), but that doesn't count as pretending to be someone else. mieskie was, IIRC, the banned persona.

eta: Batman Begins Dawes was also trying the legal route to clean up the city, wasn't she?

Our wings are not tired.

The salesguy I posted about last week, the one to whom I accidentally sent the email saying I was irritated by constant calls and texts? Just told me that he and his wife are adopting, either out of Haiti or Ethiopia. He's an excellent salesman for knowing that I am likely to have my heartstrings tugged by this.

OK, so I'm 8 episodes into S1 of the Wire. Playing "spot that location" is amusing. Also, for ericka: D'Angelo Barksdale's apartment in this season? That was my old apartment complex, shot in a unit right across the street from me. I thought it might be, the layout was right. Then I saw the metal closet doors, the balcony brick, the floors...yup, that was it. Funny.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

There was a good comment to that article:

What you basically want are _good_ characters. Complex characters with flaws who get to do interesting things. And your main problem is looking for them, of either gender, in a Michael Bay movie.

I've been reading the mieske saga. He was an ass and got suspended. Then there were attempted registrations of mmmieskie, /mieskie, and mieskie/ (possibly more). Then he got his "final words" in as Michael (which is causing me to picture him as SG-A Michael). Then Schmoker started posting. There was drama over suspicion that he was really mieskie. When the board went down for a bit he registered at WX as Anathema and asked for the name change shortly after the Phoenix was back up. I haven't reached the end of that story yet.

hwæt

I didn't go to the Batman thing, I'm going to the other. Bushwick was just too far to travel on a school night, darnit.

Yep. I haven't gone looking into any other threads.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that was the one we lost John H. over and I still feel badly about that.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just hit the part in B'cracy where Cindy says she's never posting at TWOP.

Bwahahahaha! I'm so re-reading that!
