That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

You can use daikon in pretty much any Japanese recipe in the same way. It is kinda strong, though.

I just sliced off the end of one of them and ate it, and I'm pleased to report that I really like it. I'll figure something out tomorrow.

This is not exactly a CSA, but it's a weekly produce share from this little organic grocery down the street. Each week is 4 veg/ 2 fruit, $15 a week.

This week's is:

Mango
Oranges
Ginger & Garlic
Bok Choy
Broccoli
Daikon

Also, is it possible to have a crush on a store? Because I totally do. Everything is really good, local as much as they can, and, um, not cheap. And unfortunately by "everything" at this point I mostly mean beer. But they're so *nice* that I also end up buying $10 craft perogis and shit.

I don't know why it bothers me so that I'll probably need to throw out the last steak from a value pack tomorrow. It's only about $1.40 worth of meat, so it's not like I've come home to discover a refrigerator full of spoiled food or anything. The punctured cheap-ass TV dinner I bought the other week was a bigger financial outlay.

You can't freeze it?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. My cat now comes running to me when she hears me unzipping my laptop case, because she knows she might get some quality lap-sitting time in....

I think it's to the point of turning, so re-freezing it would just delay having to throw it out.

There's just some part of my brain yelling "YOU CAN'T LET STEAK GO TO WASTE!" despite the fact that it's bargain basement meat.

But there is no way I'm going to risk eating it for dinner tomorrow this soon after a bout of food poisoning.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sounds good to me, brenda. Now that I've looked at the menu, I think the hard part will be deciding what to eat. That all sounds delicious.

Man, my dinner totally didn't take.

Our wings are not tired.

Matt, that's what dogs are for! Mine love to stay at ex-housemate's because he is an omnivore and they get all kinds of tasty meat tidbits.

Also, is it possible to have a crush on a store? Because I totally do. Everything is really good, local as much as they can, and, um, not cheap.

Totes. I have a tiny organic market blocks from my house (shares a stripmall with a Rite-Aid!) that I love dearly.

I wanna go to brenda's restaurant and review!

You should! You, and JZ and Hil and all our other vegetarians - come to Chicago and I'll take you there.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I just ordered an $800 piece of therapy equipment for Grace. Oof. Also I am sort of amused at reading Bureau.

I was much more passionate about things. Or I had more time to procrastinate. Or I cared more. Or I filtered less. It's all hard to tell.

Also, this is the store I'm crushing on: [link]

I'm very posty tonight.
