I like pancakes 'cause they're stackable. Ooo, and waffles 'cause you can put things in the little holes if you wanted to.

Trust my rage

I just think it's weird that he keeps mentioning us by name. i always think of us as under the radar.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think he is thinking about our reaction at all, he's just a sloppy liar.

Why does he keep bringing us up, dammit?

As long as the tvtropes buffistas.org page says it was a dude named Gus that started tv tropes in his basement. So he should clean that up, or come out of the closet.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So we assume he keeps talking about us just to tweak our collective noses?

Well, he wants to give credit where credit is due.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So we assume he keeps talking about us just to tweak our collective noses?

I don't read it like that. I thought he was trying to give fair credit by noting that TV Tropes developed out of conversations here.

After the pseudicide I suspected Gus had lurked on the board a long time before he first posted and created a persona that would be immediately popular here. It was carefully constructed, and he was very charming. Later his posts were a bit more dogmatic, less Gus-like. I think it was a bit effortful to keep up the charm.

Except that since Fast Eddie never posted here, that makes no sense. (well, I understand what Hec/P-C are saying but it makes no sense to someone who didn't know about Gus's ...oh, I see. I suppose he is talking about "Gus" there. It's hard to keep straight. )

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

So we assume he keeps talking about us just to tweak our collective noses?

I don't think any of it has been about us. In terms of "why", I mean.

edited for an attempt at clarity

And now, if Gus is dead, he's gettng even with me because while I was posting, the dogs spilled milk from the table everywhere.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You don't want to mess with a yogi, that's for sure.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I dislike the term cougar because it implies there's something predatory about an older woman with a younger man, while men go after women a third their age without having a similar label.
