All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Bwah!

Loved this exchange on Archer.

Cyril: Hey, will I get to learn karate?
Archer: Karate? The Dane Cook of martial arts? No, Isis agents use Krav Maga.

Oh, this one's good too.

Archer: Ironic, isn't it?
Cyril: I'm not sure that's technically irony.
Archer: What? This is like O. Henry and Alanis Morrisette had a baby and named it "This Exact Situation."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

tommyrot, I love it!

You know something I just discovered? It works even better if you imagine it in the voice of Christopher Walken.

See, if those existed, I think it would be justified to kill them strictly for their annoyingness.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Cash, both of my kids have gone through that phase. Franny really went through that ask-about-death phase. She'd ask me about my mother and why she died and if I was going to die too one day. Isaac is kind of there now. Oh, and the ask-about-death phase tends to be followed with the ask-about-God phase, at least in our household.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'd rather deal with death than god.

Death

or...

God

God is not safe for work.

Our wings are not tired.

All of those tough and awkward parenting moments are made that much harder with having to deal with the kids talking with other kids who report to their parents. I imagine, obviously, since I don't have kids. I always think parenting has got to be so hard, because everything you do can have community repercussions.
