On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh msbelle. I guess it's going to be one of THOSE weekends.

I have two crazy cooped up kids. They are currently playing a game we call hall ball. It's kind of like Calvin ball, but you play it in the hallway.

mac decided to stay home with his uncle and play here while watching the olympics in the background. He has calmed from the angry. And I have the laptop back.

I have decided to attack this paint nightmare, I am doing touch-up work on all of my bedroom walls, then I'll do mac's. I also did some clean up work of all the brush strokes on hardware and fixture covers and dips on the floor, but there is much much more to do. I've only done 1.5 walls in my room so far and just moved furniture so I can do 1.5 more, now taking a break.

I've decided I need to ask for half-caff when I get coffee from the market on Saturdays. Not sure if theirs is a higher octane, but I can feel it all day and I don't like that. Have Targetted and pedicured, and I am done with my shopping for the week. The rest of the weekend I can do whatever I want! My toenails are pinker than I'd like, but oh well.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

msbelle, I still can't believe I can't just come over and see your new paint! Stupid moving.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I was so shocked and horrified by Allyson... in more recent times I will admit to hoping she would come in with the smackdown.

What did I do again? I was mean or something?

I still think a lot of mean things, though. And then I laugh and close the window of wherever I am.

mac is now locked with his uncle in a battle of wills. he is just not letting it go today.

I have done the touch up work on 90% of my bedroom walls and the all of the alcove hallway. I am giving it 2 hours to dry, then will do the trim touch-ups. Tomorrow I will move furniture back in my bedroom and start on the touch-ups somewhere else I think. Hate this so much.

oh, and the uncle has won, mac is doing some reading.

Why is this not surprising?

Go uncle! Pity he can't come back to Texas too, but then again, it's good to have family to visit in NY.

My kids are doing the stay in the house thing too. I'm about to go make hot cocoa for everybody. Wish I had some whipped cream.

Well, I'm happy to say that I've finished the last of the post-flea bomb clean-up. This was certainly an exhausting week; but, on the upside, my possessions probably can no longer kill me.
