Wait, WHAT? Does that just apply to Wellbutrin, or to all anti-D's?
It applies to just about all official ADs. (Not, say, St. John's wort.) Most ADs have dizziness as a potential side effect, which is a no-no with flying. Wellbutrin has the added bonus of potentially triggering seizures in people who've never had them, which is a also verboten. There are also a number of OTC meds that you can't take while flying. And booze? The FAA rule is basically 8 hours between bottle and throttle. (Local club rule is 24 hours.) I'm inclined to agree with these, because if you find out that, say, the combo of meds and suddenly thinner air a couple of thousand feet up enhances what's usually just a wee bit of hardly noticeable background dizziness, pulling over and putting your head between your knees until it passes is not an option.
Calli, best of luck to you in getting off the Welbutrin.
Calli, I hope your taper off is as painless as possible.
I'm still at home. Just got back from the vet. Verdict is that Xusa most likely caught a sore throat from foster kitty. I didn't know cats got sore throats. Foster kitty may be leaving very soon - she's decided my bed is for sleeping and Roomie's is for litter box.
I'm thinking about just taking the rest of the day. I don't really have the time, and I'm way behind at work, but I'm not sure I'd get anything done and I'd like to try and use today to reset my brain. God, depression sucks. It sucks the life right out.
I need to go to CVS to get some toilet paper and dish detergent and a few other things. It's just around the corner, but I so do not feel like trudging through all that snow.

Easy transition ~ma for you Calli.
I am a new great aunti! My nephew and his wife welcomed Cooper John Lincoln into the world about an hour ago. I tried to talk her into waiting until tomorrow with it being Lincoln's birthday, but she was already a week overdue and thought she would just go ahead and let the boy out. Woo! They didn't find out the sex in advance so we got the surprise factor too.
Two of my cow-irkers are Tino-ing me today.
Thanks, y'all. I was on a fairly low dose to begin with, so I'm hoping that'll help ease the transition off the meds.
And in completely different news, Happy Birthday, -t!
ETA: I'm sorry, smonster. If you take the rest of the day I hope it helps smooth things out a bit for you.
And amych, thank you for your good thoughts, which I kind of skipped over to go all "yay, FAA rules" back there. Things were pretty rough there for a while, and I'm glad I had the option of ADs to help get me through it. If it turns out there's a neurological need that goes beyond temporary life circumstances I'll be getting right back on them, with thanks. But if I don't need them I might as well find out now, and keep on with my other plans.
Am staying home. Debating between nap and tv.
Home again for floor install supervising duty, Tom is at work... I hate that my lizard brain is weirded out about being alone with the installer. He is a perfectly nice guy and doesn't ring any alarm bells.
This shit is loud, and now the dust is making the smoke detectors go off intermittently. Poor cats are stressed out!
