Oh, thanks, Scrappy. I feel weird accepting accolades of any kind because I get so much out of it myself, you know? And I'm just down there for a week, and the residents of the Lower Ninth ward live their lives, day in and out.

But it means a lot to me that people appreciate what Historic Green is trying to do. I really like that it's supporting a neighborhood initiative and working through local nonprofits, and not so much "the white peoples are here to saaaaave yoooou... and now we're leaving."
