And what's the fun in becoming an immortal demon if you're not regular, am I right?

The Mayor ,'End of Days'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We could get there early and hit the cafe with the opera cake, then scuttle across the street to the newish mall that has Angel and the Pirates line of clothing to check out.

Waaaah! The Baby the Stars Shine Bright store! (psst, it's Alice and the Pirates, and oh god, they have a lot of stuff I want.)

If we sit in the balcony we can have cocktails at the movie too.

TELEPORTER. I NEED A TELEPORTER.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

As if I needed another reason not to shop at Whole Foods, there is now apparently an employee "health" program that rewards workers who have low BMIs with bigger employee discounts.

My employer is doing something similar as of July 1. High BMI=more expensive health care plan. Same for smokers, and they say they will do random cheek swabs to check for nicotine. I'm guessing that the legislators who voted this in are *not* on the same plan.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Today's SF groupon was for 60% off two dozen mini cupcakes from this place [link]

Oooh, those look good. I think I'd get the ginger carrot cake or the pink lemonade.

Waaaah! The Baby the Stars Shine Bright store! (psst, it's Alice and the Pirates, and oh god, they have a lot of stuff I want.)

Right - what with the Alice in Wonderland vibe. Plus the Black Peace Now jewelry & accessory line is pretty gothy fab.

Every time I go in there I think of you.

They've got a theater that only shows Japanese movies that haven't come to the states! Anime and live action.

Also, this place (Loved To Death) has opened on Haight and they have actual Victorian memento mori for sale.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

they say they will do random cheek swabs to check for nicotine

And...this is legal? I am a fan of people not smoking, but cheek swabbing seems a little extreme.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And...this is legal? I am a fan of people not smoking, but cheek swabbing seems a little extreme.

Companies can already do random drug tests. Granted, the rationalization for that usually is safety....

Also, Jilli, I just scored a DVD of the best of Dame Darcy's Turn of the Century cable access show.

eta: Awww, man! You just missed The Edwardian Ball.

It's like gothapalooza around here lately.

I've seen CSI! You need a warrant to take someone's DNA!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

they say they will do random cheek swabs to check for nicotine.

Seriously? That seems, what's the word I want, insane.

You lucky fiend.

Oooh, Loved To Death! I browse their Etsy store all the time. Stupid STUPID unemployment, with the lack of spending money.

Well, I could probably loan it to a friend in Seattle with time on her hands.

Btw, do you guys still have a working VCR?
