I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Book ,'Serenity'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Does she kill an undead Prince Albert? That would be some serious angst there.

so all I have to do is license and registration!

Barb, the registration part literally took me about ten minutes.

The license part took longer (but I got the Best Picture EVAH), and oddly, they give you this like, black and white PHOTOCOPY license, to keep until they send you a real one, which freaked me out. Mind you, I also went on a Saturday, so yours will probably take less time.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

How, on earth, did I miss this? [link]

We just saw that in Borderlands and had the same reaction!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm now uploading a hell lot more old family pictures to Flickr, enough to make my occupied for two weeks.

But I just saw this: [link] and fell in love with it. It really looks professional (it's my dad's step-dad, before he was his step-dad. We also have few pictures of his ex girlfriends. I'm somewhat amused by that).

Always Anti-fascist!

I got paid yesterday for an article I sold, but I guess I'd still like a cupcake...maybe yellow with chocolate frosting and those dumb little sprinkle things. I've never really gotten into CSI, though it would seem to be right up my alley.(And a dark, crime-ridden, drug-copping alley it is, too. Some of your softer lefties...cough, Code Pink) cough don't know what to make of that.) Because I'm an idealist who likes to read about cons and Mafia hits but at the same time am not sure I wanna read "The Shock Doctrine" cause I might get bummed out. And that was before I was all "David Simon says you don't necessarily fall from a gunshot...that's totally an idea we get from the movies..." Etc etc. Till the other person just says "Can I watch my show, please?"

“Not dead yet!”

Barb, the registration part literally took me about ten minutes.

Lewis just got back from the emissions test (he had to do it because his car is older than mine) and said it took like, three seconds. I think we're going to go do registrations tomorrow or Thursday, then on Friday, we'll go do the licenses and since Abby has the day off from school, also take her and Nate and get them I.D. cards.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Barb, good luck with everything. I hope all of the car stuff is easy and quick, and I am so glad that you are happy in your new home.

Now I am trying to figure out where to get a cupcake.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hey, I just realized I'm going to walk by the cupcake bakery on the way to therapy today! I might email my therapist and see if he wants me to bring him a cupcake.

Courtesy of Nicole, I have made some.

Buffistas are always welcome.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Have they at least tried to make that make sense?

She's back, alone, because he's teaching somewhere and she was bored. So, no. They haven't tried making it make sense.
